• If you are having trouble opening an IMG file, you can try renaming the file extension to .ISO. This will often allow you to open the file with a different program, such as the Windows Disk Image Burner.
• If the IMG file is a disk image, you can mount it as a virtual drive using a program such as VirtualBox or VMware Player. This will allow you to access the files on the disk image as if they were stored on a physical drive.
